Aegis Aerospace, founded in 2021, was created by combining MEI Technologies Inc. (MEIT) and Alpha Space Test & Research Alliance (Alpha Space), bringing together a company with nearly thirty years of space and defense experience and one of the world’s leading commercial space companies. Alpha Space was known for developing, owning, and operating the first woman-owned facility on the International Space Station (also one of the busiest!) and for lunar systems that expand its Space Testing as a Service (STaaS™) services to the moon. MEIT was known for expertise in systems engineering and integration (SE&I), IT and cyber solutions, modeling and simulation, support services, and space access. Both companies served the civil space, defense, and commercial space industries.
As a single-integrated business, Aegis Aerospace, Inc. offers a unique range of commercial space services, technology and engineering services, and products to the space and defense industries, all under a single, woman-owned roof.
Aegis Aerospace is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and operates out of ten locations, including the International Space Station.
