Aegis Aerospace holds various contract vehicles (IDIQ contracts):

ASTRO Contract

ASTRO consists of a family of ten separate, individual, Multiple Award (MA), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts that encompass a variety of services related to manned, unmanned, and optionally manned platforms and robotics. The scope of ASTRO spans many areas of expertise and includes all components required to formulate a total solution to a requirement, except for those services and products specifically prohibited in the contract. Solutions may include Ancillary Support Services and/or Ancillary Support Products as defined in the contract. Requirements may call for solutions that cross over multiple disciplines; include ancillary support services and/or products; require commercial and/or non-commercial items; require professional and/or non-professional labor; and use a variety of contract types including fixed price (all types), cost reimbursement (all types), T&M/LH, or a hybrid mix of contract types. These platforms and robotics may be based on land, air, sea, and/or space. 

Aegis Aerospace holds a Space Pool contract to perform functions of maintenance, repair, and overhaul of manned, optionally manned, and unmanned space platforms.

D3I-D2 Contract

Aegis Aerospace serves the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command’s Design, Development, Demonstration, and Integration, or D3I, Domain 2 (D3I-D2).

D3I-D2, titled “Information Integration and Data Exploitation,” provides enhanced Warfighter capabilities to the USASMDC/ARSTRAT mission by contractually supporting the command’s efforts to design, develop, demonstrate, and integrate products focused on the development of space, missile defense, and high-altitude capabilities that enable the Warfighter to effectively support U.S. Strategic Command, other combatant commands, Department of Defense, other services, and other government agencies.

REMIS Contract

Research, Engineering, and Mission Integration Services (REMIS) is a multi-award contract with indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price, and cost-plus-fixed-fee line-item numbers. The contract began Sept. 6, 2017, with a five-year base period, followed by a two-year option that may be exercised at NASA’s discretion. The maximum potential value of the contract, including the option, is $500 million.

The statement of work includes spaceflight and ground hardware and software, sustaining engineering functions, engineering services, payload facility integration, and research mission integration and operations services on a commercial basis, with minimal involvement of the government.

The contract was developed for use by NASA’s International Space Station (ISS) Program but may be utilized by other NASA organizations or federal government agencies through a mutual agreement with the ISS Program.

Aegis Aerospace has contract awards in CLINs 1, 3, and 4, which are described below.

CLIN 1 (Research FFP): Science hardware development, integration, and operations, Mission Integrations and Operations (MI&O) for payloads (rack, subrack, and stand-alone), science integration, payload processing (pre-launch and post-landing), new Experiment Unique Equipment (EUE) development, research facility upgrades, science validation testing, post-flight operations, sample recovery, and hardware refurbishment.

CLIN 3 (Research CPFF): Science hardware development, integration, and operations, Mission Integrations and Operations (MI&O) for payloads (rack, subrack, and stand-alone), science integration, payload processing (pre-launch and post-landing), new Experiment Unique Equipment (EUE) development, research facility upgrades, science validation testing, post-flight operations, sample recovery, and hardware refurbishment.

CLIN 4 (Engineering CPFF): New hardware/software not tightly coupled to vehicle core systems, hardware integration and test, science sample integration, sustaining engineering, engineering analysis, model development, prototype development, trade studies, special studies, and testing services, exploration technology demonstration, and ExtraVehicular Activity (EVA) tools and non-suit items.

The MISSE IDIQ contract functions as a basic ordering agreement that allows any branch
of NASA or other federal agency to order MISSE testing services.
