Aegis Aerospace Closes Strategic Acquisition
HOUSTON – Aegis Aerospace, Inc. announced today that it has acquired key assets of ProXopS LLC, an engineering services company based in Houston, Texas.
The acquired assets include subcontracts with Jacobs (NYSE:J) under its Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering & Test (COMET) contract at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida and its JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science (JETS) II contract at NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas.
This acquisition expands Aegis Aerospace’s capabilities in Florida, where it holds prime contracts with NASA to perform the independent verification and validation (IV&V) for the deep space (lunar) logistics project, and to integrate and operate biological experiments on the International Space Station (ISS). Aegis Aerospace is also a prime contractor and subcontractor at JSC, where its work includes commercial space testing services, payload development, integration & operations, and astronaut-related health and human performance research.
