Aegis Aerospace Employees Win RNASA Stellar Awards

Aegis Aerospace, Inc. celebrates employee nominations and two wins of the prestigious Rotary National Award for Space Achievement (RNASA) Stellar award at the 36th annual RNASA Awards Gala in Houston. Winners were selected by a distinguished committee of space legends based on accomplishments seen as holding the greatest promise for furthering future activities in space.

Two Aegis Aerospace teams and two individuals were nominated:

One team was nominated for the work they did under the U.S. Space Force’s DHSTO contract, for the design, integration, test, and certification of Space Test Program’s STP-H8.

The second team was nominated for outstanding commercial work on the MISSE flight facility, which is a facility affixed to the outside of the ISS owned and operated by Aegis Aerospace. MISSE is the centerpiece of the company’s Space Testing as a Service (STaaS) line of business.

Both of the company’s individual Stellar Award nominees in the Early-Career category won. They were:

Ben Asher, for his dedication to enabling NASA’s Artemis missions and facilitating the seamless transition to the Moon to Mars missions.

Dr. Sarah Moudy, recognized as an invaluable asset in the success and advancement of human health and performance within the space research community, ensuring NASA astronauts’ safety and optimal performance.

“With two individual nominations and two team nominations, Aegis Aerospace had a combined representation of 31 employees,” shared Aegis Aerospace President, Bill Hollister. “It is rewarding and very gratifying for such a prestigious organization as RNASA to identify and celebrate the great work our employees are doing to accelerate the advancements in our industry.”

Highlighting the night, Dr. Christopher Scolese, National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Director, received the 2024 National Space Trophy; Gina Sunseri, ABC News Producer, received the 2024 RNASA Space Communicator Award; and Gerald “Gerry “Griffin, former NASA Apollo Flight Director and Director of the Johnson Space Center, received the 2024 RNASA Corona Award.
