Girlstart names Aegis Aerospace Founder and CEO as a Legend
Aegis Aerospace Inc. Founder and CEO, Stephanie Murphy, has been honored by Girlstart by being awarded a STEM Award. Girlstart is a national women-led organization devoted to empowering girls in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), which selected Murphy for the Legend Award for dedicating her career in a STEM field and making a positive impact on others.
Murphy was honored at the Girlstart Game Changer luncheon in Austin, TX, where she also sat on a panel with two other awardees to share their experience and advice on empowering girls in STEM fields.
“It is important to me to share my experiences and to be available to upcoming generations curious in aerospace and STEM fields, especially young girls” shared Murphy. “To be recognized by Girlstart is a special honor, and it excites me to see the bright futures Girlstart and its volunteers helps cultivate.”
