MEI Technologies, Inc. appoints new COO and General Counsel

Officials with MEI Technologies, Inc. announced today the appointment of Vic Walczak as chief operating officer (COO), federal sector, and Barbara Pearson as general counsel/chief compliance officer/acting director of contracts.

Walczak – former general manager, military programs – will transfer from the Huntsville, Ala. office and join the Houston corporate office. His proven successes, including winning the 2008 MEI Technologies’ Entrepreneur of the Year Award and growing the Huntsville workforce, made him an ideal candidate for this role.

Pearson’s promotion to general counsel directly utilizes her law degree and allows for the formation of an internal legal department. Pearson – former general manager, civil programs – will conjointly serve as chief compliance officer, overseeing and managing compliance issues within the organization, and as acting director of contracts, overseeing the contracts department.
