MEI Technologies, Inc. secures legacy work with first REMIS task order

Officials at MEI Technologies, Inc. (MEIT) have announced the company has secured its legacy work of launching payloads for the Department of Defense Space Test Program, executed by the United States Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Advanced Systems Directorate, at Operating Location – S through the awarding of the DoD Human-Rated Payload Support Task Order awarded under NASA Johnson Space Center’s Research, Engineering, Mission Integration Support (REMIS) Contract. The task order is a cost-plus fixed-fee three-year base contract with two two-year options.

“We are honored to win the DHSTO contract providing expertise in support of the nation’s space program,” stated MEIT CEO David Cazes. “This is an important win for MEIT, as the work performed under this contract has been legacy work for us since the company’s inception over 25 years ago.”

MEIT will provide services to support DoD payloads on NASA exploration vehicles and other available space transportation capabilities. Within the scope of work, MEIT will perform mission integration and operation of payload elements including logistics support, ground support equipment, parts and materials; payload element testing at various locations; design, develop, & fabricate ground and flight hardware and software; engineering analyses; maintain the DoD Payload Operations Control Center (POCC); and provide program management and support.

As legacy work for MEIT, the company has been able to support the DoD by successfully integrating and launching over 350 payload and experiment packages.
