MEI Technologies, Inc. (MEIT) is celebrating a major subcontract win on the Multi Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) Program Integration Contract (MPIC), as part of the ARES Technical Services Corp. team, performing work at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. The contract, beginning April 1 with a base performance period of two-and-a-half years followed by two one-year options, has a contract value of $49 million in which MEIT’s share is approximately 20 percent.

MEIT will provide system engineering and integration to support development, assembly and integration of the Crew and Service Module for the MPCV, known as Orion. MEIT will also support the MPCV Program Office by providing data management and integration services.

“As the only major subcontractor on MPIC, MEIT is honored to work with ARES to develop a spacecraft that will send humans farther into space than ever before,” said MEIT CEO David Cazes. “Merging excellence and innovation – our company tagline – is what our engineers do best, and we are proud to help advance space exploration literally into new horizons.”

Over the past two decades, MEIT has led a successful track record of supporting both NASA and Department of Defense programs.
