MEIT congratulates Silver Snoopy Winner, Patrick Henry
Patrick Henry, MEIT Rapid Prototyping Laboratory Lead on the MPCV Program Integration Contract (MPIC) at NASA JSC, has been awarded the prestigious Silver Snoopy Award.
Patrick earned the Silver Snoopy for his outstanding support to the space programs by providing ongoing support to the Rapid Prototyping Laboratory (RPL), while demonstrating a unique and visionary ability to create a series of novel and highly creative iPad applications. His efforts significantly helped the Astronaut Office and NASA to develop, evaluate and validate the crew user interfaces for the Orion, Commercial Crew, and Cockpit Avionics Upgrade Programs.
“Since joining MEIT this past April, Patrick has been an intricate part of the MPIC team and has produced stellar products for the contract and space program,” said south central general manager, Donna Carlton. “We are very proud of his work, and we thank NASA and the Silver Snoopy program for recognizing and celebrating his achievements.”
The Silver Snoopy award originated in 1968 as a means of recognizing individuals who perform in an outstanding manner, contributing to the success of manned space flight missions. To meet the criteria for this award, the recipient’s job performance must be oriented to flight safety or mission success; it must be of an outstanding nature to distinguish the recipient in his or her particular area of responsibility; and it must be meaningful in its contribution to flight safety or success of the mission. Silver Snoopy awards are limited to no more than 1% of eligible recipients.
Patrick’s Silver Snoopy was flown on Expedition 23.
