MEIT Members Nominated for RNASA Stellar Team Award

Every year, the Rotary National Award for Space Achievement solicits nominations for Stellar Awards for individual and team achievements from the government, military, and industry.  A panel of distinguished engineers, scientists, managers and representatives from academia evaluate and select the winners, based on furthering space activities.  In order to ensure recognition of individuals at all stages of their careers, nominations are solicited in four categories: early career, mid-career, late-career, and teams.

Winners in each category are announced at the spring gala, where Dr. Charles Elachi, Jet Propulsion Laboratory Director, will receive the National Space Trophy.

As part of the “Space Test Program – Houston External Payload Series Team,” the MEIT members serving on the Department of Defense (DoD) Human Exploration Payloads – Bridge Contract (DHEP-B) were nominated for the RNASA Stellar Team Award.  The ISS program submitted the STP-HX series payloads as an RNASA Team nominee and MEIT was accepted as a finalist.  The nomination includes work from -H3, -H4, and -H5, the STP team at Houston JSC, ETG Thermal support, as well as GSFC CIB and NRL JMU partners.

MEIT congratulates the entire STP-HX team on receiving this nomination.
